Concrete Prep Forman

The Ruby Rock Group is seeking an experienced Concrete Prep Forman to help lead our Concrete team. This role is critical to achieving the high quality concrete work our team has the reputation of delivering. This position requires attention to detail, teamwork, strong work ethic, leadership skills, good communication and time management. The Forman will work closely with the Concrete Superintendent to insure projects are completed on time, under budget and are to Ruby Rock quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily tailgate and FLHA.
  • Lead and supervise removals, forming and gravelling crews working on municipal, subdivision, commercial projects.
  • Coordinate daily productions and schedules with Superintendent.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately each day.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensure all crew members. follow company and provincial safety procedures, standards and legislation.
  • Train, mentor and support crew members to maintain a positive, accountable team environment.
  • Identify and resolve field issues to maintain safe and efficient production.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Must-Have Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in concrete curb and gutter forming/prep work.
  • Minimum 3 years experience supervising prep crews (removals/forming/gravelling).
  • Strong understanding of forming/prep processes, grades, slopes and curb and gutter standards.
  • Valid class 5 drivers license.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment with extended hours and weekends as required.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking and conflict resolution skills.
  • Commitment to quality and safety on every project.
